1930 - ZANAE begins operating in Thessaloniki as a bakery yeast production industry
1939 - Expansion into the production of canned goods and ready to serve meals
1950-1960 - The first exports
1972 – Our tomato processing plant opens in Zervochori, Imathia
1979 – We earn the rights to use the name "concasse" in Greece
1992 - Transfer of bakery yeast production to a new plant in the industrial area of Sindos
1997 – Transfer of canned goods production to Sindos
2000 - New, more efficient easy peel packaging
2005 - Relocation of offices to Sindos

ZANAE, a purely Greek company, is one of the largest and fastest growing food industries. In 1930, we began operating in Thessaloniki as a bakery yeast industry. Since then, we have expanded into the production of canned goods, ready to serve meals and processed tomato. Whatever the changes throughout the years, we remain steadfastly committed to a basic principle:

This commitment is met through a system of quality controls during all stages of production, under the supervision of highly trained, scientific staff. We have the most advanced production facilities and equipment at our disposal, with continuous investment in infrastructure.

As the only bakery yeast production industry in Greece, we know what bakers need. A good mixture. And it looks like we make just the right one. ZANAE is the leader in the Greek market, successfully scoring high marks with bakers abroad as well. We operate all these years with the same respect towards the consumer and the environment.
Each of our dishes, a tradition on the Greek table. ZANAE packaging maintains flavors unchanged without the use of preservatives, simply by natural additives such as oil. A wide range that constantly grows.
Our produce, such as tomatoes, are selected with the strictest criteria. We opened the first tomato processing plant in Greece in 1972, in Zervochori, Imathia. Each day, we carefully select the most mature, most “deserving” of Greek tomatoes. Over the years, “concasse” has been inextricably linked to the name ZANAE in the Greek market.
The international presence
Today, ZANAE products are exported to over 50 countries. A large percentage of the company's turnover comes from exports made in Europe, the United States, Canada, Australia, the Middle and Far East. Thus, people from different corners of the world get the chance to savor the most tasteful, most healthy Greek dishes of the finest quality, as they would have if they visited our country.
We believe that even tradition has taste.
